Shut Out

Synopsis:Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part, Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention.

My Review:  A high school sports rivalry between the football and soccer teams has gone on for what seems like forever. It has only recently escalated to players getting physically hurt. When this long time feud begins to interfere with relationships Lissa becomes fed up! Something must be done to put a stop to all the nonsense, she calls upon the other players girlfriends, hoping they are as frustrated as she is.
When it comes to teenage boys the one thing that means almost more to them than sports is "getting laid!" So how do you get guys like this to grow up? You organize a SEX STRIKE!! As the girls ban together, the guys begin to wonder what is going on. It doesn't take long to realize that something is "up" especially when Chloe, the school slut won't put out.
The most complicated part of this strike isn't the fact that you are withholding from your boyfriend, but realizing while doing so you are ogling  his rival. Cash Sterling is everything most guys want to be and everything a high school girl WANTS!!!

Kody Keplinger easily takes you back to those unforgettable high school days, when all that mattered were sports and boys. The characters in this book are relatable in so many ways, every school had its own slut and there was always the strong willed girl who had to make a stand, we can't leave out the HOT football star that could have any girl he wanted or the completely sexy athlete that seemed unattainable .
When you combine this group of characters with a modern day setting you get a book that will have you wanting more. Great characters and a good story line are what make  Kody a force to be reckoned with.
