Cryers Cross
By: Lisa McMann
Available: February 8, 2011

Synopsis: How far will one town go to protect its secrets?
One teenage girl will find out when she sets out o uncover the mysterious disappearances  of her friends.

Much like the town I spent many years off and on in as I was growing up, This book takes us the readers to a one horse town in Montana where everyone knows one another and each family and its members play their part in the communities survival.
When several teenagers disappear the whole town turns out to find them, with no luck the search stops and the town resumes their fall harvest.
For Kendall things are difficult, one of the missing kids is none other than her boyfriend NIco. As time goes by she begins to notice strange occurrences that have her wondering if she is crazy. She tries to put this behind her and focuses on spending time with Jacian, the grandson of a local farmer and new classmate to Kendell. Things seem to be working until the strange occurrences  start to control.
You will have to read the book to find out if Kendall can reveal the town secret, find her missing friends and remain alive.

I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one day. Through the authors detailed accounts of life in a small town I was able to put myself in the story, which made reading so much more interesting
